Elliott, who was drinking with a group of people, was allegedly asked to leave a Gold Coast restaurant on Sunday afternoon.

He is not thought to have breached the league’s Covid-19 protocols in attending the establishment.
On Monday, the Bulldogs released a statement confirming that they were co-operating with the NRL Integrity Unit on an investigation into the matter.
“The Bulldogs have been made aware of an incident involving Adam Elliott on the Gold Coast,” the club wrote in a statement.
“The club are currently working with the NRL Integrity Unit regarding the matter.
“As a result the Bulldogs have stood Elliott down from the final two matches of the season until that process has been completed.
“The club is not in a position to comment further at this stage.”
The 26-year-old has undergone alcohol counselling this year after an incident in the pre-season involving former teammate Michael Lichaa and Lichaa’s fiancee.
“The Bulldogs have conducted their own review and have decided that Adam will undertake professional help in regard to issues with alcohol, with the Bulldogs to provide full support including a strict monitoring process,” the Bulldogs said at the time.
Prior to that, Elliott and teammate Asipeli Fine were the faces of the Bulldogs’ notorious Mad Monday celebrations in 2018.
After suffering a season-ending shoulder injury midway through 2020, Elliott has returned to the fray this year and retained his regular spot in the Bulldogs’ best 17.
He has made 18 appearances for the Bulldogs this season and played his 100th NRL game against the Warriors in round 22.
Elliott will miss the Bulldogs’ upcoming clashes with the Sea Eagles and Tigers, but neither match will influence his side’s final ladder position.
Having won only two games for the season, the Bulldogs have been consigned to their first 16th-placed finish since 2008.
Trent Barrett will hope his second season in the hot seat proves more fruitful, particularly given the club has added the likes of Josh Addo-Carr, Matt Burton, Matt Dufty, Tevita Pangai Jr, Brent Naden and Paul Vaughan to the roster for 2022.
